Women's International Leadership Program

All Graduate Students are invited to apply to the 2011-2012 Women’s International Leadership (WIL) program at International House (I-House). The WIL program is a year-long fellowship that offers leadership skills-building within a supportive network of women. The program comprises of three weekend seminars on topics such as cross-cultural communication, conflict-management, public speaking and other vital leadership qualities; a mentorship component; networking opportunities; and a team project. All grantees are awarded a housing stipend of $2000 towards their I-House membership fees.
I-House is a housing and programmatic community of 700 graduate students and young professionals from all of the world (including the U.S.), across various disciplines and from a wide variety of NY based universities and organizations. It is a great opportunity for students looking to live in a truly diverse and supportive environment while gaining valuable leadership skills. (Please note that WIL grantees must be residents of I-House for the entire 2011-2012 academic year. A separate application is required for I-House Admissions).
The WIL Program was started in 1991 through a Seed Grant from the Kellogg Foundation and has received support from Merrill Lynch, Bank of America and will be sponsored by Bayer HealthCare for the 2011-2012 class.
